GRATITUDE
Count your blessings! Take time to savor the moments you are having, even if it's just eating breakfast or driving to work, really savor it and be present-put the phone down! Happy people choose to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative. They set their minds on specific reasons to be grateful. They express it when possible. And they quickly discover there is always, always, something to be grateful for.

Eat a healthy meal and snack. We only get one body to use until we die! We are spiritual, emotional, and mental beings. We are also physical bodies. Our lives cannot be wholly separated into its parts. As a result, one aspect always influences the others. For example, our physical bodies will always have impact over our spiritual and emotional well-being. Therefore, caring for our physical well-being can have significant benefit for our emotional standing. One simple action to choose happiness today is to eat healthy foods. Your physical body will thank you… and so will your emotional well-being.
forgiveness
Hold back a grudge. The next time you want to lash out in verbal complaint towards a person, a situation, or yourself, don’t. Holding onto hate or a grudge only effects you! Let it go! You’ll experience joy by choosing peace in a difficult situation. Don't carry that hate from today in to tomorrow.
Thoughts
Speak daily POSITIVE affirmations! Affirmations are positive thoughts of personal statements of truth. They start with“I am…”. Affirmations can release stress, build confidence, and improve outlook. Be aware of the words you choose after the "I am..." statement! Quickly change your negative thoughts about yourself to positive affirmations.

Search for lesson in your problems. This life can and will be difficult. Nobody escapes without challenges. Remind yourself again that the trials may be difficult, but they will pass. And search deep to find meaning in the problems. Choose to look for the benefits that can be found in your trial. At the very least, perseverance is being built. And most likely, an ability to comfort others in their pain is also being developed.
- People who are unhappy often feel anxious, fatigued, or just plain low.
- People who are happy for bad reasons try to make themselves feel better by indulging in behaviors that make them feel good for the moment, but are bad in the long run.
- People who are happy for good reasons have the things they want: good relationships, professional success, or material possessions and feel good as long as they keep those things.
- But people who are happy for no reason don’t depend on external circumstances that can change. They live from a state of happiness, rather than living for happiness. What would that look like to you? With patience, persistence, and dedication, anything is possible.
